Kazakhstan
Some police officers do the same trick with the speedometer that the police officers in Kyrgyzstan do. Constrainedly, I used the expensive ferry-boat to cross the Caspian Sea from Aktau to Baku, Azerbaijan. The ship is not following any schedule but usually leaves once every 7 – 10 days. I paid 90 euros for me (it was the cheapest ticket) and 111 euros for the motorcycle. The trip lasts about 24 hours but the ship is usually entering in the port some hours later, because usually the docks are occupied.
I covered 3,816 km. (2,371 miles) in 15 days in Kazakhstan.
