Nagorno-Karabakh

Nagorno-Karabakh is a de facto (in fact but not officially established) independent republic. It is recognised only by Armenia and even that is not official. The rest of the world considers Nagorno-Karabakh as a part of Azerbaijan. That has been a source of dispute in the war between Armenia and Azerbaijan, which ended in 1994. Since then, this small, mountainous state is claiming independence. The republic has its own government and laws, but it remains an Armenian-populated region, using the Armenian language and currency.

I covered just 272 km. (169 miles) in 3 days in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Nagorno-Karabakh

Here is the route I followed in Armenia and in Nagorno-Karabakh and the main places I visited.
