Dimitris Katigiannis and NRG may now be the official dealer and authorized workshop of KTM in Larissa, Greece but, between you and me…, he used to ride an XR up on the mountains! As much as he wants to paint everything orange now, we were there to remind him a different era. Thankfully, he is able to prove his skills on every kind of motorcycle. In his workshop we saw from CBR and R1 to BMW, and of course KTM’s entire palette. No need to say that our XRs were a piece of cake for him. He knows what is hidden behind every bolt.

   Entering his workshop you may think you’ve entered a hospital. Christina always teases me because I organize my tools and clean up my personal workshop before closing every night. You cannot imagine how many times Dimitris does those things throughout the day! Christina may have been making fun of it but I was delighted to be working with such an organized mechanic for rebuilding our XRs.

   When you intend to look after every single bolt on a motorcycle, in order to ride as easy as possible 100,000 – 150,000 km ( on the demanding African terrain, you can’t trust anybody. It has been my pleasure to see how seriously Dimitris took into consideration this adventure of ours and how closely he took care of every detail while working on our XRs. And all this… without a cent, just to support our cause!
